It's
always interesting what people choose as the background for their
photo and how much light is in their photo. For example, some
people snap their photo indoors, with very dim lighting. Others
might be outside, but they're wearing a hat and/or sunglasses.
Others take a photo indoors when there's a lot of light flooding
in. One client had a coat, hat and gloves on--indoors! A client
in Scotland stood outside a charming Bed & Breakfast. He
was bundled up but was wearing flip-flops, was holding a huge
cup of tea and had a big grin on his face. It's as if the ambiance
of the photos show how people see themselves--whether "hiding"
from scrutiny or open and expanded. Since I literally hold each
client's photo in my hands while doing the session, I need to
be able to "see" him or her.
